Data deletion
Last updated:
You can disconnect a social account and request deletion of the data Keplent stores about it. These are separate actions.
1. Disconnect an account
Open Keplent → Connections, select the connection and choose Disconnect. You need permission to manage connections in your workspace. Its credentials are removed and its social accounts are marked disconnected. New publishing and synchronisation require an active connection. A submission already in progress may have reached the network: check its status there.
You can also revoke Keplent in each provider's connected-app settings. For YouTube and other Google services, use your Google Account permissions. For Bluesky, revoke the app password you created for Keplent.
2. Request deletion of stored data
Email support@keplent.com with the subject “Data deletion request”. Include:
- The email you use for Keplent and your workspace name.
- The network and the handle, page or channel concerned.
- Whether you want data from that connection removed or your entire Keplent account deleted.
Do not send passwords, access keys or identity documents in your initial message. We will check that the requester is authorised. For data in an agency workspace, we coordinate with that agency as the data controller. We will communicate the outcome and identify any information that must be retained to meet a legal obligation.
3. What disconnecting retains
Disconnecting does not automatically erase saved profiles, drafts, scheduled posts, publishing history, metrics or workspace files. Specify those records in your request if you also want them deleted. If you reconnect an account, review its queue before scheduling new posts.
Posts already visible on a network are managed and deleted on that network. Deletion in Keplent does not remove copies held by the provider. Requests are handled under our Privacy Policy and applicable deadlines.
